Memories Between Manhattan Bridge

The walk was noisy but suprisingly calming.

School-aged children talked loudly as they walked passed us. Cars drove through the leftover rain on the roads from the night before. It was a beautiful New York City day and an even more beautiful walk across the bridge.

As we walked, I observed. I looked at the buildings and the graffiti written on the bridge. I took pictures of things that caught my eye. I have always been mesmerized by skylines, and Brooklyn has the best view of the city. It was the first time I walked across the Manhattan Bridge. The Brooklyn Bridge had been my go-to for three years now. That changed after our Wednesday walk. On the Manhattan Bridge I can see both the Brooklyn Bridge and the skylines, the two things I love so much.

Exploring Lower Manhattan was very eye-opening. There were all kinds of different people between the business district and China Town. I usually do not make it out of Brooklyn because of my busy schedule, so incorporating a walk during class time was a nice opportunity to do something I have not been able to do before. I love exploring this dynamic city, and I love being at a school surrounded by so many great things. I am definitely blessed with more opportunities than most people by being in such a diverse area and I would not trade my experience for anything else.
